VIRA & FRIENDS: a mobile musical variety show

In May 2018 Slywotzky founded the concert series Vira & Friends, with the aim of bringing people together to enjoy the live performance of songs written for voice and piano.

The Scorca Recital Hall at Opera America serves as a home base and was the venue for Vira & Friends Sing the Classics, Vira & Friends Sing Songs in English & Ukrainian, Vira & Friends Sing Songs by Women Composers, Vira & Friends Invoke All Souls & All Saints and Just for Fun!

Stepping Out: Adventures in Cabaret, Nothing About Love and All About Love were performed at The Duplex.

Additional performances have been presented elsewhere in New York City, most notably on Governors Island, and in New England.

Performers include Joanie Brittingham, Kirsten Chambers, Peiharn Chen, Melanie Dubil, Clint Edwards, Kelly Griffin, Jonathan Heaney, Mark Lee, Liz Pojanowski, Christopher Robin Sapp, Samuel Schultz, Joshua Sanders, David Sytkowski and Bray Wilkins.
